Access certification
Another term for a user access review, also called access recertification, in which a reviewer confirms or revokes a user's access to applications, systems and data.
Why it matters
Employees, contractors, and job roles change constantly. Access certification helps ensure users retain only the permissions they need, reducing risk and supporting compliance.
How it works
Access certification campaigns are assigned to managers, application owners, or other reviewers, who evaluate whether users still need their current access. Reviewers approve, modify, or revoke access, and any required changes are tracked through completion.
